Every once in awhile a member of the TRIbe will email me and ask for their boat to be listed for sale here. Its a hard thing – selling your pride and joy – and I try to deal with the disturved owner with compassion and empathy. I feel a little like the parish priest taking confession. “Forgive me Father for I have sinned – I need to sell my boat.” Go say 10 Hail Ian’s and if you still want to sell her, I will list her for you…..
I know what its like to sell your trimaran and it aint easy….it can be heartbreaking even.
Niels Tempel from the Netherlands is the latest, listing his beautiful F82R Trojka for sale. Niels has owned Trojka since 2002 and has cruised her all over Europe with many lovely summers spent in Croatia. He maintains an excellent website at http://trimaran-trojka.nl/blog/ where you can see photos of his many travels and smiles. A beautiful thing about an F-Boat in Croatia is you dont have to Med-moor with the big insane charter mono’s o the quay. Just take her deep into the harbor and pick a spot on the wall with the little boats and tie her up. Genius!
Trojka was originally known as Monsoon – built in Australia. She was partially disassembled and shipped via container to Europe when Niels bought her. You can find fascinating pictures of the process on Niels website – here. She is featured in some of Ian Farrier’s photos on F-Boat.com. Trojka is an F82R – for Race – sporting a tall rig. The F82 was Mr. Farrier’s update and re-design of the F25C rocket ship so you can be sure she is super light, fast and strong.
Trojka is a pocket rocket cruiser waiting to take you away – well maintained and cared for…..no…..loved….by her owner, she is well worth a look of you are in the market. Even if you aren’t in the market – she’s worth a look. She’s quick too – casually picking off a cruising cat in the video below.
Fill out the form below for more info or to get in contact with Niels directly. The Trimaran Journal is not a broker or agent for the sale of this boat and listings are provided as a free service for its readers.
Niels was kind enough to provide a list of equipment and the boat specs as follows:
Farrier F82R trimaran # 9 – Trojka, € 57.950,-
Owner: Niels Tempel
DIY in Adelaide Australia, in 1998, bought by me in 2001 W H (Bill) Hobbs (2nd owner). Shipped in 2002 to the Netherlands and into water in Lauwersoog in June 2002. We sailed until 2014 about 4100 miles in Croatia and 3,600 miles in the Netherlands. We drove her around 36,600 km on the trailer. Always fun, the F82R is a well designed and sound built boat! The ship is well maintained.
